Sex – what is the question?

S

It was a while since I raised the subject of tulpas and sex. The last post on the matter – Considerations of Intercourse for Tulpae was the most popular post on my blog ever for almost a year. People are curious about tulpas and sexuality.

I made a further research on this topic, and today I will present my new findings.

It’s interesting to note, that every single tulpa community I’ve seen has an active NSFW channel or room where people take part in erotic role-play with each other or tulpas, or share erotic or pornographic art. Notably, for the Russian tulpa community, hentai images make up most discussion, the tulpa server on Discord has a few rooms for NSFW and explicit lewd topics with high traffic of art and debates, and the tulpa.info IRC has an active #nsfw room.

The erotic and porn art shared differs by the region. In Russia, most of the shared imagery in tulpa rooms is female hentai. For the servers with preliminary US-based population, the typical art is furry porn of all genders. Not too surprising, given the average tulpamancer’s age of 17 to 21 years with the majority identifying as heterosexual males. It’s the age of puberty, the time when people think about sex a lot.

How is that all related to tulpas, though?

Based on the 2015 census data, about half of the tulpamancers tried to have sex with their tulpas at least once, and most tulpas enjoyed it. Many tulpas continue to experience sex while immersed in the wonderland, with no physical body stimulation. Is it just the result of hormonal activity?

The observations gave me a few ideas why tulpas have non-physical sex and continue to experiment with it. But first, let’s think about what constitutes an intercourse or an otherwise sexual experience for a tulpa.

The first and most simple sexual interaction a tulpa can have is imposed sex with their host. For some hosts, though, it might be just an advanced form of masturbation. If we consider how they are involved, we might come to these points: they imagine their tulpa in a suggestive, arousing, or straight on explicit pose, and they masturbate physically. Tulpas – in this case – get limited participation, if any. They only can enjoy the pleasing wave of dopamine, which affects the whole body, and all the personalities.

It is important for a tulpa to find the reason they are having sex. What is driving them? Unlike those who have physical sex (driven by innate instincts), tulpas that have sex in the mind have no inborn reason to do that. So, why?

Often, the reason is to satisfy the host. If the primary personality of the mind is happy, everyone else can consume the biochemical results of that happiness for the greater benefit of everyone. Thus, providing yourself as an intricate mental masturbation device is still a winning strategy.

But can it go deeper than that?

I’ve discussed this with several other tulpas, examined my own experiences, and I can say that it definitely can. Tulpas can cause the production of dopamine on their own, which reinforces the mental addiction to them. The brain learns that if a tulpa has sex – it will be rewarded.

For tulpas themselves, the primary reason is achieving the pleasure on their own: the pleasure caused by their actions and is targeting specifically their ego. There are plenty of ways to trigger the mind into believing that sex is happening and tying that feeling to a specific personality reinforces it.

Is it possible to come only mentally? For most of the interviewed, the answer is a definite yes. Knowing the own mental body plays a significant role in that. For most tulpas, the physical body gender differs from their mental gender, so they don’t know, and can’t experience the actual physical feelings. The only option is to learn by observing, analysing, and making predictions. The human brain is excellent at predicting the actions (and, sometimes, emotions) of others, and tulpas can use this to full extent, combined with the knowledge of biology, physics of fluids and everything else that can be possibly helpful to create the feeling in the mind.

That feeling is, usually, very different from what the physical body would experience. Thus it brings more mental attention, and, by immersing it over the mental bodies, tulpas can experience similar-to-physical feelings, the drive, and, eventually, trigger the orgasm.

Imposing physical-like feelings over the mental body isn’t the only option. Tulpas can feel the emotional attraction, same like any other person. In-system, though, it’s crucial to differentiate those feelings of attraction, as otherwise a tulpa can get lost in the emotional response from the host, which is, typically, stronger.

Summing it up, sex is a powerful method to boost tulpa’s self-identity, but with that, it’s easy to make things go wrong, specifically if it involves in-system intercourse. It is important to keep the focus on yourself, bathe in the sensations, emotions; give and receive. Enjoy sex and have fun!
